The goal of CCSS is to provide consumers and cannabis industry professionals with an easily understandable metric of quality for quick reference, and to create conversation and educational opportunities.
For too long the driving qualifier for cannabis has been THC percentage. No other product with such a rich tapestry of flavors, unique identifiers, and key compositional notes relies on something as trivial as potency to dictate its worth - nor should cannabis.
CCSS provides a detailed and methodical approach to scoring, designed to capture the full essence and quality of a cannabis cultivar. The scoring system consists of multiple components that evaluate both the sensory experience and the chemical profile of the flower. Much like the entourage effect, the total quality of cannabis flower is dependent not on one factor but on its overall composition.

95-100: Classic
90-94: Outstanding
85-89: Very good
80-84: Good
75-79: Mediocre
50-74: Below Average
