CCSS Testing Process
Every sample is tested as final packaged product, ensuring we are grading the same flower that consumers and patients purchase. From there, CCSS staff works to ensure there is no bias as flower is repackaged into blind sample containers before being transported for testing. At the lab, flower is tested for the genetic markers that help to determine cannabis quality, including cannabinoids and terpenes. A score is assessed based on internal metrics to ensure consistency in both scoring and process. By partnering with a state-licensed lab, CCSS ensures that processes are compliant, replicable, and scientifically sound.
